Caring for aluminum water bottles

For optimal use and longevity, it is important to properly clean and care for aluminum water bottles.

  1. Regular cleaning : Rinse the bottle with warm water and mild detergent after each use. If you have poured tea, coffee or other colored drinks into it, use a soft brush to remove stubborn deposits.

  2. Detoxify and deodorize : Once a month, fill your water bottle with lukewarm water, add a tablespoon of baking soda or a little vinegar, and let it sit for a few hours. This will neutralize any unpleasant odors and remove bacteria.

  3. Avoid corrosive substances : Aluminum can be sensitive to acids, so don't store highly acidic drinks, such as lemon water, in it for long periods of time. If you do add such a drink, don't let it sit for long periods of time to prevent damage to the metal.

  4. Hand washing preferred : Although some aluminum bottles can be cleaned in the dishwasher, it is best to wash them by hand to minimize any damage to the exterior paint or interior coating.

  5. Dry thoroughly : After each cleaning, let the bottle dry completely upside down before replacing the cap. Moisture inside the bottle can easily cause mold, bacteria, and unpleasant odors to grow.

  6. Careful storage : When not in use, store the bottle with the cap open or without the cap to allow air to circulate. This will help prevent musty odors and mold.

With these tips, you can maintain the long-term integrity, freshness, and hygiene of your MerchStaff aluminum water bottle, so you can always enjoy the drinks stored in it as if the bottle were brand new.
